Before the first beta release we'll be giving a taster, with three or four new units for each faction as well a complete overhaul of the existing ships in-game to be more interesting, more realistic and to match our slower, more tactical gameplay.

I'm not releasing a unit list now, but expect a few ships from each sci-fi genre as teasers, as well as new features on existing vanilla units, including:

- Re-hardpointing
- Harder to kill and more representative shield and armour comparisons
- Hull defence anti fighter guns freeing wasted hardpoint slots where 'laser batteries' once were, mostly hidden to attack, but spraying anti-fighter fire at anything at close range
-More varied missile types and warheads
- Some basic rescaling
