| http://www.onemillioncan.com/This is an evangelical Christian charity of students from across the globe who want to resuce the world in Jesus' name. You can donate money and choose where it goes to: eg buying bibles for people in S.E. Asia, saving sex slaves, buying clean water for those who have none. So come on people give generously. In case you are wondering where I found this website. It was linked to by the website of one of my favourite CCM artists - Chris Tomlin | |

| truly it isnt
though i do consider myself a christian i think the abuse of jesus has gone way to far.
to the point of using his image as a center of worship which
You shall not make for yourself an idol, whether in the form of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
i think that this commandment can be misinterpreted but when the word idol is used it means center of worship
in other words dont make a little jesus statue and treat it like god i also think jesus would look down on the use of a cross as a symbol although it is a cool symbol. he was kinda killed on it
and the last thing i must say is that doing something in the name of jesus is wrong. because it is not jesus doing the work it is not god doing the work. sure he is an inspirational figure but he isnt responsible for every good act
perhaps some humans are just nice and do it because they dont want to see suffering
but no they donate money and do good things because they wish to get on gods good side.
now i would donate money. but to me my life comes first before i can setforth making the world a better place i need to make my life as good as it can be.
i know it seems selfish but i am not if i see a homeless person i throw them a twenty if a friend needs something i always help

(sorry, but one person left the team because of its mention) It's ok Kyle, this thread is dedicated to it and it is not forced upon those people, so it's fair. Preach to the world! And @ Ralok: Images we make of Jesus should not be worshipped, but he should, for he is the Lord incarnate. And bah humbug to your liberalness!

| i dont know what a liberal is and i dont know what my opinion on JC is quiet yet
so tell me why must everything in the bible be strictly followed
except for the stuff they say is ok here are a fcouple just as an example
no drinking or indulging in the blood of others catholics do both of these at onces they give you wine and tell you to pretend its blood (at least they feed you though)
dont make an image of god. pretty much every religion does this even if they are suppose to
im not trying to sway anybodies obinions on religion i am simply stating my opinions on religion in hopes that an intelligent conversation will form
and some of you may be thinking i dont beleive in god trust me i do science has tought me that god exsists. or at least something greater than us

| Hey I'm with you on the Catholics. The way they think that the Pope represents God on Earth contradicts nearly the whole Bible, but as far as I'm concerned the Bible is the word of God himself, that's why I believe it must be followed.
And science is great; I'm a science nerd and you're right, nearly all science does point to the existence of God.

| But it points to the existence of an impartial being or force, a god, who's beauty can be found in the laws of the universe. | |

| Science cannot explain the human mind and the conciousness of us all. or the creation of the universe. if science itself was followed nothing could or should exsist
there is a force in this galaxy energy. it moves everything gravity electrons the stars themselves.
light effects earth. the moon effects earth
humans effect the moon and eventually the stars themselves
the same energy that came from our sun the same energy created by god fuels the plants. the plants fuel the animals thus feeding man in the eventuality of all things. of course you can eat the plants cut out the middle man and human will build vessels to reach the stars and touch the power that they bring.
its all energy. energy can never be created or destroyed it exsists eternally throughout the universe. alongside its brother matter. both effect each other and changing each other in ways that we cannot even begin to imagine.
what we know of the galaxy trillions of stars. but the known universe is only the size of a quarter compared to a universe the size of earth.
there cannot be boundries to this universe as such would be an impossibility.it is infinite large. along size infinite small. the universe is so massive to beleive that god filled this world and only this world with life. would be ignorant at best.
if you cannot beleive in god after that your insane

I didn't mean that. I meant that this impartial god, is the laws of the universe. Because they are so perfect, and impartial. Even Einstein theorized something similar.

Even Einstein theorized something similar. Ah, you're right. Sorry for being a bit obtuse, i was a bit caffeine-high at the time, and i get in moods where i love to argue. 'twas some stupid stuff to say.
