it is obvious to me this mod is a heavaly multiplayer based game with the simple idea of bringing together multiple science fiction universe
it needs an underlying story if there isnt one already
and explanation to why the planets are there and the many races from across the multi verse wage war

something to fill in the info panel of the planets during a loading screen
if nobody else wants to write these needless details i would volunteer my free time pig

my idea was that a spacial collapse cause by 17 simultaneous events brought
the worlds together creating heavy problems
these are just some examples of my ideas
purely for cosmetic purposes which this mod is not nearing use of yet

earth omega-7 (our earth) entire population eaten by (blank?)
earth centaur halo universe earth 20 years port war thriving metroplolis
earth beta-12 stargate universe earth building ships to combat the overwhelming new threats
lv 423.8-Q a colony of the alien universe humans have only single ship
if rescued from covenant invasion will provide ship for your use
serenity anything havent come up with anything that wouldallow some serenity to sneak into this mod
earth infinity super mans earth. planet cannot be invaded or touched superman comes at you at 300 million mph and tears through all ships like tissue cosmetic planet
starfighter asteroid base same deal as human colony allows production of gunstars

the ideas are pretty
simple please do not lite me on fire for my horrible ideas

Well, there is a very long, complicated background story, but I don't think we ever thought about a theory for the genesis of the Forum Wars universe. Sounds interesting, though I don't go all the way back to the very beginning of Forum Wars itself so I don't know for sure...

The underlying story began with the Alliance of Free Planets vs. Chaos in "keeping the forum universe either in peace or absolute chaos." Then other factions began coming in, and all lines were blurred. But, also, there are plenty of other side stories, which would maybe necessitate campaign modes for each character.

What does the other staff think on that one?

Rough Draft

After the New Galactic Empire took control of the galaxy in 130 ABY, The Galactic Alliance Remenant and Emporer Fels splinter Empire fought to retake the galaxy from the sith. However, The Empire began executing Base Delta Zero attacks systematically on outer-rim worlds, especially those which had supported the Alliance. This crippled the Opposition, and forced them to one last stronghold. A system which had drifted beyond the rim of the galaxy, and had a dying star.

Here, they discovered an anomaly by deep-sensor scans from orbit. It appeared to be a chamber in the Mohorovičić Discontinuity, once connected to a Rakatan fort. But thousands of years of tectonic movement had severed the link between the fort and chamber, leaving it adrift. After a dangerous subterrainian mission, a shielded craft brought the chamber to the surface, where it was eventually opened. Inside, perfectly preserved, were two Rakatan Soldiers and a Giant machine.

As it was being studied, the Imperials found the sanctuary world. The GA fleet moved to intercept, but the imperials, sensing victory, were relentless and reinforcements were constantly arriving. The GA fought well, but were hopelessly outumbered and outgunned and could not hold out forever.

Meanwhile, on the surface, GA scientists analysing the chamber found multiple references to Galactic events, such as the Battle Of Endor and the Destruction Of Outbound Flight, as well as the discovery of the chamber but there were also other events, involving a Planet called Earth. They eventually deduced this as a way of switching between strange universes, and immediatly began work trying to figure out how to work the device, hoping to start a new GA in one of these universes.

However, in space a refitted exectutor class star dreadnought punched through the GA defence of the planet, and commenced bombardment, burying the chamber once again, with the scientists still inside. luckily, they had enough food and water to last a week, if they rationed. so they new what they had to do. activate the device, and try to survive in one of these other universes. 2 days passed with little progress, when they made a breakthrough.

They activated the device, and saw strange things. A giant ring, and strange ships fighting. they turned around, and saw people dressed in green uniforms, in front of a Sstrange mirror. When one of them touches the mirror they suddenly find the chamber starts to change, as well as the room with the People in green jackets. The two universes were merging. They immediatly tried to stop the machine, but succeeded only in making the problem worse. times were buckeling, Outbound Flight ended up at endor, and Ewoks at the battle of Naboo.

Eventually, universes began interfereing with each other, with Anubis aboard the Death Star, and Gungans Fighting alongside Master Cheif. After what was a day, but seemed like an eternity, the process was complete. Every universe in existance had merged, in a crumpled up ball of time and space. The galaxy Forumus Warus was all that existed. And every faction wanted to stake their claim in this strange, new, galaxy.

Forum Wars had begun.

well my question is how many earths are to be included
which factions would make alliances

with all universe' flooded into a single space many new galaxy formed
lets focus on a single galaxy. lets call it galaxy epsilon 2

leave epsilon 1 for a later mod

what should be decided is whats made it into this specific galaxy.
how many earths
how many halos
how many star wars planets
zombies
something totally not scifi

if you dont mind i shall state my interpretation

major factions:
some star wars (there is alot to pick from)
battle star galactica (none of there planets)
sg command
possibly gouald
covenant
unsc
possibly cylons

minor factions:
xenomorphs
predators
superman
single alien universe human faction planet
last starfighter asteroid base

planets:
5 earths (one with zombies)
2 halos
one star trek planet
2 dc planets (including an earth)
skrull homeworld (easy indigenious)
turok planet
the planet from make your own sci fi adventure book (all the endings in that one sucked)
klendathu
at least 8 reworked star wars planets
gas giant that when you space battle on it looks atmospheric
counter earth (doctor who with bonus tardis as statue on level)

these are my suggestions

BUT REMEMBER
it is very important very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very important that only a certain amount of content is chosen and then crafted into the mod
its important to not get ahead of yourselves or the mod team will be overwhelmed and members will start falling off the map. and the mod will die a painfull death

you never know. After all, we arnt the average modding team. We didnt meet as modders, we met in a community as friends (or baby eaters, in the case of bob Razz). So we know what its like to be the guys on the outside. why do you think i have been showering everyone in screenies?
