Languages

I was wondering what languages people here speak and what their native language(s) is. I'll go first:

English - Native
German
Mandarin Chinese

i can understand some mandolorian and huttese aswell as a little bit of bocci

I know English (duh, come from America), some Espanol (sorry for no tilda on the n), and Deutsch. I'm learning how to read Areubesh.

Plus, I know what the meerkat barking noises mean.

English (obviously)
Spanish (I am learning, I have a 55 minute class everyday were I learn Spanish).

Hmm that's interesting... lots of Americans learn Spanish and yet in the UK it is rare to learn it.

Haha good luck with learning aurebesh - linguistically it is totally random and the spelling difficult for some sounds which aren't found in English.

why would it be odd for Americans to learn spanish? Theres a lot of immigrants; about 40% of my school is hispanic

It's odd that we don't learn it in the UK not that the US learning it is odd. Spain is the 4th most powerful EU country....

Good for you. We got lumbered with French like most British schools..

we got to choose french or spanish, and if we did well enough in one we were forced to do both.

Oh yes.

I know ni, hao, and that phrase that sounds like 'woh' and 'eye' which means 'I love'

I love = Wo ai = 我爱

e.g. I love Beijing = 我爱北京

I myself take am talking Latin this year. should be fun

Everytime you learn a language it is estimated to add about £100k to your lifetime earnings and about triple that if you learn a 'hard' language: Russian, Chinese, Arabic, Japanese.

Except for Latin.
